Data Center TALNT

We Staff the Teams That Build America’s Data Centers

Your next hyperscale campus needs talent that's done it before. Data Center TALNT places project managers, MEP engineers, QA/QC inspectors, schedulers, and commissioning agents on mission critical builds from Ashburn to Phoenix — sourcing the data center talent you can't find on job boards.

Two practices, one bench. Our data center staffing team supports contract and contract-to-hire engagements — commissioning surge teams, field engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and project specialists. Our data center recruiting team runs direct-hire and retained search for the leadership roles — project executives, MEP engineering managers, commissioning authority leads, and chief engineers.

Industries We Serve

Every sector we staff has one thing in common: there’s no room for error. Here’s where we focus our recruiting muscle.

Data Center Construction & Staffing

The crews pouring foundations in Ashburn this morning need a PM who's delivered 60MW before. We find that person — along with the electricians, commissioning agents, and MEP leads who keep hyperscale builds on schedule.

Mission Critical Facilities

When a hospital can't lose power and a trading floor can't afford a blink, the people maintaining those systems had better know what they're doing. We make sure they do.

Commercial & Industrial Construction

Ground-up builds don't wait for candidates to update their resumes. We keep a bench of QA/QC inspectors, schedulers, and safety pros ready to mobilize when you need boots on the ground.

Utilities & Power Infrastructure

Substations, T&D lines, solar farms, battery storage — the grid is getting a massive upgrade. We recruit the relay techs, lineworkers, and power engineers making it happen.

Common questions

What hiring teams and candidates ask us most often.

Who staffs data center construction projects?
Data center construction is staffed by a mix of the general contractor's own people, the owner's representative team hired directly by the developer or hyperscaler, and specialist staffing firms that supply the roles neither side keeps on permanent payroll. Data Center TALNT is in the third group. We place Construction Managers, owner's representatives, QA/QC inspectors, commissioning agents, MEP engineers, schedulers and EH&S managers on hyperscale and colocation builds across all 50 states.
What is a data center staffing agency?
A data center staffing agency recruits for the construction and operation of data centers specifically, rather than for construction or IT in general. The distinction is practical rather than cosmetic. A generalist firm screens a commissioning agent against keywords, while a specialist knows the difference between a CxA who has run level 4 and level 5 scripts on a live hyperscale campus and someone whose experience stops at design review. Data Center TALNT was built for that second screen.
How long does it take to fill a data center construction role?
The published industry average time to fill is 126 days. Across our placements in 2026 the median from a resume reaching the client to the first client interview was 38 hours, the median from resume to offer was 25 days, and the median from search start to offer was 31 days. The client decision is the slowest leg of any search and the one a recruiter can influence but not control, which is why we measure to the offer. The full method is published at https://www.datacentertalnt.com/speed.
Do you place contract workers or permanent employees?
Both. Contract, where we act as employer of record and carry payroll, benefits and workers' compensation while you scale the team with the build phases. Contract to hire, where the working interview runs on our payroll before conversion. Direct placement for permanent roles on your payroll, with a 90 day replacement guarantee. Most hyperscale programs use a mix, with contract on the construction ramp and direct placement for the operating team.
Which data center markets do you cover?
All 50 states, with the deepest coverage in Northern Virginia and Ashburn, Dallas Fort Worth, Phoenix, Chicago, Silicon Valley, Atlanta, Portland, Columbus, Reno and Salt Lake City. We also staff the newer build sites that have no local talent market yet, by screening for candidates with a verified record of performing away from home rather than by pretending local density exists where it does not.
Are you hiring, and how do I submit a resume?
Open roles are listed at https://www.datacentertalnt.com/jobs and update as clients release them. If nothing on the board matches, send a resume through https://www.datacentertalnt.com/submit-resume and it goes into the talent network rather than into a black hole. Around 70 percent of the candidates we place are passive and were already in the network before the role existed.
